Original artwork description:

The title is a riff on the Maya Angelou poem, 'I know why the caged bird sings'. This piece depicts the moment the wild geese either leave or arrive each year at the same time. Their timing is always perfect. The instinct to go or come is built within their very beings. It is a yearning they can not resist.
This is an acrylic on canvass piece 16" w x 12" h. Small but compelling.

Materials used:

acrylic paint on stretched canvas, wooden stretchers, acrylic gel varnish
