Artwork description:

One late afternoon, Maasai Mara, Kenya.
During the rainy season, scattered pools of water had sprung up. The grass and the air smelt fresh. I waited near a newly created mud hole hoping for elephants to find it and, sure enough, an elephant family headed my way. A large elephant checked me out. I felt its intent and set about to translate that into a photograph. Satisfied, it withdrew as I finished executing my composition.

I like the resulting photograph of the impending elephant and thunderstorm. I also like the rest of the group lurking in the background. In common with my I series, the perspective is low down and the angle of view is very wide. Gives breadth and depth.

This Giclee print is a colour print made on hannemuhle photo rag 308 gsm paper which has a very smooth surface. (Giclee describes a fine art printing process that combines pigment based inks with high quality archival quality paper). My Giclee prints have an extremely wide tonal range and colour gamut.

Options: The print can also be made on C-Type Paper (matt or gloss), or C-Type Metallic/Velvet, or Giclee Canvas. It can also be printed at different sizes.
