Another discovery from a dusty corner in my store room. When I painted it I thought it was so awful I had to hide it from myself, let alone other people. But there's something so special and refreshing about awful paintings that they become amazing. You couldn't, and wouldn't set out to paint a painting like that, so they rarely exist. The only way they can be made is if you really feel something and have this crazy creativity to experiment and make things. I had completely forgotten about this painting, but then when I found it I could remember putting down super thick gesso and scraping through it with a comb, why would you do that?!
