"Le Chemin Des Amoureux" has been inspired by the rich colourful landscapes of Bonnard, Monet, Cuno Amiet...etc.
This painting is an imaginary place where I dream about lovers wandering holding hands in the shade of the trees, it would be a safe place for happiness.



This series of paintings is called "Flirtation with reality".
It's an evocation of nature and countryside, an evocation of natural landscapes, I made the realism more obvious than in the other paintings, pushing further the borders between abstraction and realism.
The hues used are less flashy, less colour contrasted -even if that can still happen- (the transitions between colours are more subtle), tinted with a touch of melancholy. I want it more romantic, with a lingering feeling of nostalgia, but in a poetic way.

MATERIALS:
"Le Chemin Des Amoureux" is painted with acrylic on a stretched gallery-wrapped canvas (standard cotton), it is signed on the front, and will be delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
