As I created this painting, I aimed to capture the emotion that arises when people part ways for their own reasons. The artwork portrays a man leaving a woman standing near the trees. The encounter has happened, and the dialogue has concluded; the young man is walking away. The girl stands by the tree, holding her face, conveying a sense of sadness at the departure of the young man. I wanted to capture a moment that many have encountered, where people drift apart for various reasons. Although the reasons for the lovers' parting in the painting are unspecified, it allows the viewer to contemplate the possible factors that may accompany such a separation.
