Scotland is a landscape full of small and large dammed lochs or lakes used to power hydro electric schemes, this Scottish landscape painting is inspired by a small local hydro scheme in the heart of the Scottish west coast highlands, a small loch or lochan surrounded by rough wild heather moorland and rounded hills.
Painted in an impressionistic style with an atmospheric wet rain filled cloudy sky in muted autumnal colours of greys and brown ochres, with cooler tones on the hills and warmer shades in the foreground heather moorland.
Painted in a contemporary gestural style with a palette knife.

Painted using quality artists oils on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a gloss varnish finish and white wooden frame with cord ready to hang.

Will require a signature on delivery.
