Hydrangea flowers remind me of a flock of cheerful butterflies perched on a bush. The play of light and shadow on their shape is so whimsical. If you look closely you can see the wings!

The watercolour is made in noble shades of pink - from delicate and barely perceptible to deep bard colour of red wine. The richness of shades of blue underline the brightness of colours with a cool shadow. It will look great in a passepartout and thin frame.
Handwritten lines of text complement the composition, creating a figurative reference to letters.
