Artwork description:
An original hand-pulled screen print. One colour is printed at a time by hand using a squeegee which pushes ink through the screen onto the paper. For each new colour the artist makes a separate drawing/stencil and different coloured layers are built up to create a design.
I wanted to capture the detail of the small flowers making up the hydrangea's flower head. The screen print is made up of fresh contemporary colours against an on-trend mint green background.
