Mid summer. An evening stroll with the dogs. The moon over the wheatfieds is truly magical with the aroma of the dry wheat from a whole days intense heat. Wildlife still scurries but without the same frequency and loudness as during daylight. These are the play on senses that inspired Paul to create Hunters Moon.

Painted in heavy impasto base structure, acrylic and then oilpaint the movement and insensity of the wheatfield leaps from the painting.
