Original artwork description:

A quiet hillside at the top end of lovely Wensleydale; rich greens and hazy mauves suggest the grass covering with stone walls and barns punctuating the scene.
The location appealed for its tranquility and, with its barns, dry-stone walls and grazing sheep is pretty typical of much of the Dales.
Looking onto the higher hill in the background I could easily imaginne the heavy, slow moving shape of a whale - hence the title!
The painting is on stretched canvas and is ready to hang.
