Humble Hothouse - Original Gouache Glasshouse Painting UK artist

This charming, old greenhouse captured my imagination when I visited Great Dixter House & Gardens in Sussex in 2018.

It is 16cm wide by 21cm high. Unframed and unmatted.

It was a baking hot day and the play of wild summer high vegetation both around and inside the crystal panes was a fabulous sight. A positive riot of tropical colour encased by the sturdy antique windows all girded by the white timber struts was poetry to my eyes!

If you love gardens or want to gift something special to the gardener in your life this original watercolour & gouache painting would be a soulful and unique piece.
I painted it on handmade 100% cotton rag paper. It is made 1 sheet at a time by Two Rivers Paper based in Somerset. True artisanal quality, acid free paper that will hold the watercolour's vibrancy and textures for years.

I will post your original glasshouse painting rigidly between recyclable or recycled materials.
