The sculpture ‘human nails XV’ is a haunting depiction of the human form, created from a multitude of welded nails. The vertically aligned elements form a fragmented human shape that rises out of the materiality of the steel.
The layered arrangement of the nails creates a special texture that gives the impression of decay and stability at the same time. The sculpture seems to dissolve and yet remain steadfast - a visual metaphor for the fragility and resilience of human existence.
