Original artwork description:

'Huldufólk' means 'elves' in Icelandic. For me, intuitively, I linked this painting to the all the mysteries Iceland beholds and the sacred relationship its people have with the elves and faeries. The base layer consists of black gesso which gives the painting a mysterious ambiance. On top of the black background different layers of thick, fluid paint were applied, one on top of the other which creates a subtle and organic structure. In between the layers of paint, there are three black parts of structure, made of sand and structure paste, that are topped with iridescent white to give it an other worldly reflection.

The sides of the painting are black. The painting is varnished, ready to hang and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

This painting will be packaged in a cardboard box with an inner casing for maximum protection. Customs clearance is included in the shipping cost.
