I painted this when the riots first broke out as I saw both sides violently hating the other side. I wanted to spread a message of love and understanding rather than hate. I learned of this sweet boy's tragic backstory, and makes his tears that much more heartbreaking. We need to do more to right the wrongs the black community has suffered for so many years. We need to love and listen.
