Original artwork description:

To stare across the landscape is quite wonderful, looking at the challenges ahead and then reflecting on the hills already climbed.
The inspiration for this came after a holiday in Derbyshire where I climbed a good few hills and rejoiced in each new horizon.
This is an oil painting of thick impasto brushstrokes, alive with movement and colour.
The sides of this painting are painted and it is ready to hang.
