Original artwork description:

Super unique one of a kind painting of a Longhorn Bull in front of a wall that says HOUSTON. Acrylic and mixed media on illustration board.

The history of this painting is this:
In 1982 I was a television network artist. Back then the art you saw on air was made by hand with traditional art materials, NOT the digital art that you would see today. Anyway, whenever the network did the City-By-City Weather Report, Houston was one of the regular cities on the list. So this painting was used on air several times a day. The dimensions match television screens of the time, 1982.

I've kept this painting since 1982 because I like it. So I have decided to put it up for sale for the first time, here on ArtFinder! It's kind of a relic of days gone by, when even transient media like television art was made by hand. A piece of history as well as a very cool painting.

Signed and dated 82 in the lower left corner.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint, mixed media, illustration board
