My motivation for painting this beautiful home was my interest in architecture and in painting houses. I have always been interested in strong color and regularly pushed color beyond what I saw and lately I have been studying the 'Colorist' style of painting. I hope the colors I used in this painting draw you in and make you smile. A lot of people have said that this painting is "Hopperesque" a word that was coined for the American Painter Edward Hopper. I take that as a compliment. This painting is framed in a dark wooden frame with an antique gold fillet and ready to hang on your wall.
