While painting on location during a plein air painting competition in Steelville, MO, I chose this scene of a young woman walking down a sunlit, tree-lined street with a parked pickup truck in the foreground. The lush green foliage and soft shadows create a tranquil, natural atmosphere. I always try to capture the light effect of the actual scene and as I usually do, I pushed the colors from the local colors to colors that incorporate more intense reds, blues, violets, and yellows. I also used red and yellow greens.

My materials include artist oils and a primed linen panel. The painting measures 16" x 8" or 41 x 20 centimeters. A professional camera was used to ensure the image is as close to the actual painting colors as I can get. I varnished the painting to protect and preserve the paint surface. High quality frames are used with hanger wire attached so the painting will be ready to hang when you open the box. The frame is black with warm undertones. I think you will be pleased.
