Much of my work is inspired by my friends: their lives, their actions, their bodies. In this series I focused closely on their lips: sensitive skin, expressive movement, and created an imagined mosaic of their shape and texture, filled with fragments of colour, of meaning.

This is a digital artwork by Tony Roberts, a sculptor and artist working from his New woodland studio on the English-Welsh borders. His sculptural work uses glass, and the beauty of bright, coloured, fractured glass inspires this artwork, creating a view of his subject that is shattered and reformed, full of surprising colour, sharp detail, and movement. It was created using a mix of techniques, including photography, iPad and Mac software, printed with solvent-free latex inks on fine canvas, professionally stretched on spruce stretchers before being finished by hand using ink, acrylic paint and brush.
