Artwork description:

View looking down at the Colorado River as it flows around Horseshoe Bend in what is known as an incised meander downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam near Page in northern Arizona. Rather than try to fit the whole bend in the river with a wide angle shot, I preferred this simpler view with the Colorado curving in and out of the frame. The tiny looking boats some 300 metres below help to give a sense of scale to this amazing natural landmark in the Colorado Plateau. Not being very good with heights made this experience quite a challenge, lying down on my front with arms extended was the only way I could achieve this at the time!
