Hope is cradled in her own arms, before she opens her loving arms to embrace us all.
I've illuminated her body in the colours of the Chakras to represent:
Green at her heart (for love),
Blue at her throat (for communication),
Turquoise to the right of her heart for the Ananda Khanda area, a space of bliss containing heaven and earth.
Her hands are emanating heavenly blue rays as well as magenta sparks on the right of the image to represent Spirituality.
There is perhaps the merest suggestion of white wings, just a hint.
Two tiny little dots of Red at her earrings for some added strength and energy.
Above, behind her: a triangle of bright orange-yellow as a flash of Hope and a New day.
I have used compressed charcoal to achieve the intense black, then high quality chalk pastels and streaks of vivid Caran d'Ache pencil as well as some flashes of Inktense crayon.
The image is presented on Somerset 22 x 30 inches textured paper which has been primed with gesso.
I'm offering this artwork unframed; I believe my collectors prefer to match a frame to their existing artworks and decor.
I have photographed the drawing in my studio and sitting room; there are a couple of photos of 'work in progress' - this was one of those images, totally unplanned and was painted very impulsively.
Available unframed.
The pastel drawing is sprayed with Winsor & Newton pastel fixative, carefully packed flat.
Sent by Tracked Delivery; Certificate of Authenticity is always included with my works.
