Original artwork description:

"Hope" is the first all white artwork that I've created and symbolises emergence into better, and happier times.
It is joyously full of lots of detail and hopefully will keep you captivated :)

I cut and constructed lots of different shaped flowers from plain watercolour paper and decoratively arranged them, along with fern and leaf shapes, in a circle in the centre of a square sheet of the same watercolour paper.

I created the piece as I went along, placing the leaves and ferns around the edge of the circle first, then added more from the centre outwards, and also three different sizes of butterfly.
The whole piece is framed in a deep white box frame glazed with perspex.

The result is a completely white textured relief design revealing individual flowers and butterflies on closer inspection. And as with all my work the different shadows cast are as interesting a the piece itself!
