Original artwork description:

Acrylic on canvas.
100cm x 100cm x 3.7cm.

"There was never a night or problem that could defeat sunrise or hope."
Quote - B. Williams.

This painting represents light and hope after darkness - The first indication that hope lies on the horizon and light and colour return.

My paintings are often inspired by my love and fascination with ever-changing skies and cloud formation. I try to capture the movement and mood of the skies and sea - Calm and dreamy, to dramatic and surreal.
The warm ochre tones, are developed by layering and lifting the paint, to find previous hues and tones laid beneath, building depth, movement and highlights.

Acrylic and oils
