The feeling of life embedded in stone, of ancient and mythical energy they carry and hold has been with us for millennia. There is some of that lore in this semi-abstract work. Rocky textures and canyon-like composition intertwine and overlap with supernatural figures and shapes - aiming to balance the natural with surreal imagery and representational realistic feel with abstracts traits to the compostion
The work is in charcoal, pastel and oil paint on thick black-toned paper.
Secured with archival resin fixative
