Artwork description:

Coming home, to port, a safe haven and a place of refuge.

An etching is a copperplate where with the help of acid I have incised my drawing, I then add aquatint to get the deep tones of ink, with the help of rosin that gets heated onto the plate, all a bit complicated but fun, and us printmakers, we love to complicate things! You can see me make and print an etching if you go to youtube and search under my name.
Every time I print the copperplate, I have to ink it up with special etching inks, and then put it on my etching press, place the printmaking paper on top and pull it through, this of course does make for small differences from print to print, which I hope you will appreciate as a sign of the direct involvement by the artist in each print.
When the ink and paper has dried, I sign and number each print, please note I can't guarantee you get the number in the photo.

The size of "Home to Port" is, paper: 12" x 12" ( 30 cm x 30 cm)
with the actual printed copperplate: 8" x 8" ( 20 cm x 20 cm)

I ship to you from my studio in the south of Denmark, I live on a wonderful island surrounded by nature and water that gives me inspiration, I pack your etching well so it arrives safely, see my over 680 reviews!

If you have any questions, I am right here.
Thanks so much for visiting with me, come back soon!
