These are completely unique and original PMS Mixed Media paintings on broken, reclaimed wooden frame pieces and wooden panels. This diptych is a series within my new series. These paintings and series epitomizes a technique and aesthetic I have been working to perfect over the years and takes them to a new level, both literally and figuratively. Themes in my work of construction, deconstruction, vibrant color, form, texture and decay exist in this piece and have been amplified by a new layer of broken down, assembled pieces of wood, that have been painted and constructed into these pieces. This adds a wonderful new element of shadow and an idea of breaking the plane of a conventional canvas and frame. I have continued my obsession with incorporating found and recycled materials and assembled them into what I like to think of as a sculptural painting. They are beautiful and rugged and fun to look at from multiple angles and with the changing of light that reflects on the piece. The colors are neutral and mature with a dynamic design. The juxtaposition of black sculptured wood against the creamy white surface paintings is stunning. It is truly an original diptych like no other.

Note: These paintings are painted on wooden pieces and assembled reclaimed wood and wooden frame pieces, and come uniquely hang ready. Individual sizes, from left to right are as follows: 26" x 19" x 1" and 23" x 31" x 1.5".

These paintings are signed on the front and include my Certificate of Authenticity.
