A panoramic scope of a room filled with memories, a place of sanctuary that was begging to be painted.
This was my first large scale oil paint, on a canvas constructed by myself at City & Guilds of London Art School. It was the first major project where I truly let myself go and embraced the material quality of the paint. For this piece I mixed my own paints from pigment powders, further immersing myself into the process of painting. It was the first piece which I felt belonged entirely to me and my practice.
