Hollywood Sunshower…
My camera is always beside me, ready to capture moments of inspiration for my paintings. My check list of requirements is simple—an emotional story, deep contrast, intense color, nature and the-hand-of-man dancing together, a compelling composition and that certain hard-to-describe something. One late afternoon I was driving over Hollywood Boulevard in a gentle sunshower. I stopped at a red light and, in that second, storm clouds split open and the sunset streamed out while the boulevard sank deeper into cold shadows and reflecting puddles. A magical gift from nature!

My Artistic Inspiration…
I’m a cityscape oil painter passionate about intense color and deep contrast. My inspirations are the fluid light, dramatic vistas, quiet neighborhoods and stark landscapes of California and the Southwest. I paint with a vibrant palette and expressive brushstrokes to share my vision of an essence of the urban experience. I hope that the viewer will be inspired to see the world around them in a new light.
