Original artwork description:

The collage is done by combination of images, removed them from their original narrative context and reconfigured to create a new scenario. The idea is to dust the traditional portrait by mixing art, photo, colours and shapes, together with the subject’s personal stories.

Marlin Monroe is here surrounded by major elements of her life (New York, Hollywood, but also covers of magazines, vintage car...) creating a personal and magical decor.

The pink background has been made with fluorescent spray painting giving a modern and urban touch. The images used in the collage come from magazines, internet, book and photographies.

The collage is made on a wood panel that has been prepared with gesso before been painted.

A final varnish protects the collage.
