This image came to me a while back when I used to be a regular visitor to Liguria, a wonderful area of Italy on the mediterranean coast, not so far from the Lombard region where I lived. It has the most wonderful views from the many hotels and private houses dotted along the coastline. I've used a version of this sort of pose several times in my paintings. I find it peaceful, colourful and full of holiday thoughts.
