Looking out over the Grotto Pond in the Chatsworth Estate, Derbyshire, in the fading light of a spring day, the trees seemed unwilling to let go of the light of the sun-soaked day - retaining an almost glowing vibrancy.
Holding Light was made using oil and soft pastel and collage on board, constructed in layers in an act of recreating the layers of the landscape before me.
Mount board, ingres paper, pastel.
