Original artwork description:

Inspired by the boats and yachts in the south-west of Melbourne's central business district in the local government area of the City of Hobsons Bay in Australia. I tried to capture the light of the yachts in a sculptural impasto application. The boats become tactile and describe the planes of the surface. The painting is layered with complementary colors and then scratched back in the drawing stages to reveal the surface background colors.
