Original artwork description:

This church is located on a grassy shelf suspended over an 800-metre drop over Lake Poschiavo in Switzerland. There was a free shelter for pilgrims, located here not by chance: in fact, the very important Via del Bernina passed through the Poschiavo Valley, which connected the Valtellinato to the Engadine (St Moritz) and to the German-speaking countries, in present-day Switzerland and Germany. Street full of traffic and commerce, first of all wine and salt. Watercolor made on 100% coarse-grained cotton paper.
