Original artwork description:

There is a field at the Tourne park where the farmer that previously owned it planted straight lines of trees. In the summer months it creates areas of extreme shade followed by areas of bright sunlight. I thought it was a very pleasing pattern suited for what I like to render, contrast and patterns. The longer I draw the more I try to paint with my ink. This drawing was mostly done with brushes and washes of ink. Very little quill. I like the softer, painterly look.
