Artwork description:

This is a view from the back of Highland Light in Truro on Cape Cod illuminated by infrared light, which the human eye cannot see. Shot with a full spectrum converted camera with a 720 nm infrared filter.

What does this mean? All cameras are fitted with a filter which blocks ultraviolet and infrared light and allows through only visible light, the light we see. During the full spectrum conversion, that filter is removed allowing ultraviolet, visible, and full spectrum light through. To create this image, I used a filter on the camera to block ultraviolet and almost all visible light, allowing only infrared rays through, which are invisible to us.

I offer a similar image here on Artfinder in a panoramic 2 to 1 crop.

The photo is printed with a white border with pigment ink. The photo will be signed and numbered ON THE BACK and you will receive a certificate of authenticity.

16 x 12 inches, Series of 90 (15 x 11" plus 1" border)
24 x 18 inches, Series of 40 (22 x 16" plus 1" border)

Prices may increase as editions sell. Unmatted and unframed. Ships in a rigid tube.

When the above limited editions sell out, the image will no longer be printed and sold as such. The artist reserves the right to use this image for commercial purposes.
