..One of the calmest paintings I've ever painted.. ‘High Skies’ has a super smooth picture surface with subtle blends of gorgeous colour.. The flat satin UV varnish creates a seductive lustre that reduces reflections and adds to the effect of the optical illusion.
It’s called ‘High Skies’ because I was thinking about looking out of a plane window when you’re above the clouds, and how, at six hundred miles an hour, and six miles high, it’s still one of the most peaceful and contemplative outlooks..
