The reduction in pollution levels during the Lockdown in the UK produced the most beautiful skies I have ever seen in an urban environment. This painting forms part of a series of skyscapes, or nocturnes, that I witnessed from my home. The part below the horizon in all of the paintings in the series is imagined, either a sea or landscape or, in this case, a body of water reflecting the sky above. This is very tranquil place to rest one’s gaze.

The piece is painted using exceptional quality Old Holland and Winsor and Newton Artists' series oil paints and mediums with the highest ratings of permanence and light-fastness. It is painted on professional quality fine grain stretched canvas by Belle Arti and is signed on the reverse. The painting is 60 cm H x 60 cm W.


The painting will be packaged following best-practice guidelines and despatched by signed for and fully tracked courier. It is signed on the reverse and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

All paintings are unframed unless otherwise stated.
