I created this painting when I felt a sense of love for someone close to me; this feeling uplifted me at that moment. The painting depicts a city where lovers live, and from their love, one partner soars into the sky. Their strong hands are clasped, with one holding the other, providing support and stability. By holding hands, he prevents the lover from flying too far into the sky. This is the metaphor I wanted to create. Despite the strong feelings and the sensation that love lifts a person from the ground, I wanted to show how important it is to feel your partner holding your hands, preventing you from drifting away.

I wanted to fill this drawing with that very strong and initial feeling we experience when we fall in love and take flight. Our thoughts and bodies float in the sky; it seems that love can lift us above the city and carry us away. It is crucial at that moment to feel the support and closeness of your partner.
