This original image came from Outside Magazine and was taken by Alex Aristei of ultrarunner Rob Krar. This was a fun painting for me to create as I experimented with a couple of different techniques and ideas. I chose to paint the stars on top of the subject as both a challenge and for aesthetic reasons. It was my goal to not have the stars be distracting but rather camouflage them onto the surface to where they are in plain sight but they aren't the only thing the viewer looks at.

This painting rests in a light sea green floater frame that I built. You will receive the artwork "Ready to Hang" on stretched canvas and wired on the back.
