A contemporary abstract work in mixed-media on cradled wooden panel, created with layers of teal gilding polish, copper ink, Brusho watercolour and high-gloss varnish.
Hidden amidst the layers of polish and ink you can find parts of verses from the Tibetan prayer 'The Four Immeasurables' in copper ink. The intricate and beautiful Tibetan script adds subtle detail to the panel.
The polish has been applied in areas to leave 'impasto' raised detail on the panel.
The panel has then been finished with several layers of high-gloss varnish buffed gently back to reveal areas of sheen.
The back of the panel has a matt black gesso covering and the artwork is signed in reverse. As the sides are painted, you can simply hang the panel on a wall or you could look to have it framed in a 'float frame.
