Heron by the Lake II panel is part of a diptych; it can be displayed individually or as a pair with Heron by the Lake I. The painting is inspired by the beauty of the majestic long-legged bird in its water-side habitat. The color palette is cool and soft - the white clouds over the aqua blue lake are the natural back-ground of the white bird. The painting has a rich texture and realistic feel.
