This window, often referred to as ‘The Heroes of the West Country’ is located near the South Transept at Bath Abbey and is a memorial to the Noke family. It depicts St George, King Arthur and King Alfred, along with Sir Beville Grenville and Bishop Thomas Ken. The bottom of the window also includes coats of arms of the countries where the Noke family served and the insignia of the regiments in which they served.

This painting has been created using high quality acrylic gouache paints which are well-known for their vibrant pigments. The highly saturated colours provide an interesting contrast between old and new. This painting forms part of a wider collection of works exploring modern society's relationship with religion.
