Hermes: (in ancient Greek Έρμῆς). Olympic messenger god, of borders and travelers who cross them, of ingenuity and commerce in general, of cunning, of thieves and liars, and the one who guides souls to the underworld.
God that he captured in parallel with the famous Hermès brand and that was founded as a harness workshop —located in the Grands Boulevards neighborhood of Paris— dedicated to supplying European nobles.
All this to show, in an ironic way, how sculpture TRANSPORTS us, never better said, to the revolutionary movement and how this new regime where the bourgeoisie, sometimes supported by the popular masses, became the dominant political force.
