Original artwork description:

I love dogs and I love painting dogs. This little French bulldog had so much character and such beautiful colouring that he was a joy to paint. He has extremely expressive eyes and is a very engaging dog. I chose the background colour after painting the dog, I wanted it to be paler than the dog so his outline and stance really stood out. It is painted with Michael Harding oil paints on a linen canvas. The painting is currently unframed but I could arrange framing if desired.

Materials used:

Oil on linen canvas
