“Her World” is a deeply personal exploration of a person who lives in darkness and depression. This maximalist piece, measuring 118 cm by 87 cm, immerses the viewer in a labyrinthine landscape of swirling, distorted forms and haunting figures. The central figure embodies the struggle to find joy amidst a chaotic inner world, reflecting the subject’s emotional turmoil and melancholy.

Despite the haunting and disturbing appearance of the hallucinations, they are actually beautiful, peaceful, and loving to me. This duality is at the heart of the painting, juxtaposing the subject’s pessimism with my serene perception of these visions. My signature, boldly written in bright blue, stands out against the darker palette, symbolizing my separation from the depicted despair. It represents my joy and love for life, a stark contrast to the somber narrative of the painting.

“Her World” is a collector’s piece that delves into the contrasting inner experiences of despair and tranquility, pessimism and optimism. Through this work, I aim to offer a glimpse into the complex interplay between these opposing forces, creating a deeply layered and thought-provoking piece.
