Henri is a very long cat sculpture, made from natural calabash wood. He is part of the CalbinoOz series.

As is often the case with cats in this series, his ears are oversized and his gaze is touchingly shy.

A fallen king, Henri bends his back as if carrying the weight of this turbulent new world on his back...

He wears a very pale blue ribbed jumper with long, slightly flared sleeves, and the rest of his body, made of worked natural calabash wood, resembles a long tunic.

The work is mounted on a black iron base to give it greater stability, as calabash is a hollow, light wood once it has been emptied of its seeds and skin so that it can be exported around the world.

Materials: calabash wood, surfine cellulose, blown glass, acrylic paint and water-soluble oil, protective varnish.

Unique piece signed at the bottom of the skirt.
