While cycling around the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi we had just scaled the short but steep Hemakuta Hill and being a bit out of breath we parked up the bikes and went for a wander - Hampi is so dense with ancient ruins that wherever you go you will find some old temples and shrines. As we were resting by a pond I saw this woman sitting in some of the ruins looking out over the centre of Hampi. I thought the scene looked so peaceful as she looked very pensive and contemplative so took a photo, that turned out to be one of my favourites.
Also available in other sizes:
59x42cm - edition of 50
119x84cm - edition of 25
