I am moved by the current climate crisis and the impact this has on our place in the world, and how we can be compelled to leave our country - we are all migrants. I have created an imaginary abstract landscape of sea and sky, which can be viewed from an interior by silhouettes standing in a vessel, like refugees in a boat. The colours of blue, orange and white give it a light and playful atmosphere. It is painted in oil on canvas with a matt finish, using symmetry and contrasts of light and shadows to create a surreal image. It is enigmatic and hopeful.

This painting is painted in oils on canvas on a stretcher and is ready to hang.
