‘Rockfall’ is an etching inspired by the chalk cliffs along the South Coast of the UK. It is the first of a developing series of etchings looking at the changing geography of the South Coast cliffs. Changes in climate and weather over the centuries have constantly influenced the form and shape of the cliffs. This process of erosion is ongoing, it is fascinating and worrying at the same time. With this etching I hope to capture the sense of drama and beauty of the erosion of the cliffs.
