A yellow dice suspended on a red background, hypnotically curious in both content and technique, viewers find themselves pleasantly puzzled. Heidler & Heeps have developed their own dichromatic technique resulting in something, which is neither a straightforward photograph, nor photogram. This special darkroom process they have cultivated confounds and intrigues both art lovers and photographers alike. The recognisable Dice motif is an extension of the artist’s personalities, which is apparent in all their work.
